Adult Services

Integrated Therapy Services provides AAC assessments, therapy and training to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. ITS can also provide training and workshops to families, and day program and group home staff to help family and caregivers learn how to support the AAC user along their communication journey. ITS believes that nobody is too young or too old to start AAC.

Through a grant provided to the Arc of Ventura County through the Disability Communications Fund, Integrated Therapy Services worked with the Arc to develop a training program for staff and participants to help with implementation of their AAC programs at their 7 adult day programs. In 2018 they completed the project with the Arc providing all staff trainings, small group/ 1:1 coaching, AAC consultations, and they developed a train the trainer program.

Integrated therapy Services can also provide AAC assessment, therapy and training to adults with acquired disabilities such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and/or Parkinson’s Disease.
